WELCOME TO THE WESSEX CTC

This is the home of friendly, companionable cycling for pleasure and leisure in the ancient kingdom of Wessex, or the Wessex of Thomas Hardy according to preference. Our region comprises the entire beautiful county of Dorset as well as parts of south Wiltshire and Somerset and the National Park of the New Forest.

We offer all forms of touring and recreational cycling of a generally non-competitive nature, as well as campaigning for cycling facilities and have over 1200 members in the area divided betwen our main riding groups in  Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch (Bournemouth Section), in Dorchester and Weymouth (West Dorset Section), Salisbury (Salisbury Section), and Somerset (Blackmore Vale Section).

If you participate in any ride listed on these pages, you must consider that you are on a private cycle ride with friends and that you are responsible for your own safety and roadcraft. You must read and comply with the Guidelines and the Code of Conduct.
